Founded on a Commitment to Safety and Empowerment

D5 Consulting Group LLC was founded with a simple but powerful belief: every person deserves to feel safe, valued, and empowered in their workplace.

 

Our roots run deep in a commitment to the safety, health, and well-being of individuals. What started as a mission to provide critical safety training has evolved into a comprehensive approach to building better workplace cultures—where people don’t just survive, but thrive.

 

As a New York State certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), we bring diverse perspectives and lived experiences to every training we deliver. We’ve seen firsthand how organizations transform when they move beyond checking compliance boxes to genuinely investing in their people.

Meet Our Team

Sammy Davis, Founder & Lead Trainer

Sam is D5's lead trainer and most frequently requested instructor. As a certified Master Instructor with more than two decades of experience, he has trained thousands of professionals across municipalities, higher education, human services, schools, and corporate environments.

Sam is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (Session #292)—an elite leadership program attended by less than 1% of law enforcement professionals worldwide. As a leader in law enforcement, he has managed high-stakes operations where preparation, communication, and decisive leadership determined outcomes. That front-line experience shapes every training he delivers, making his approach grounded, tactical, and immediately applicable.

His areas of expertise include:

  • Emotional intelligence in supervisory roles

Amira Davis, Co-Founder & Operations Director

Amira leads D5's strategy, operations, and organizational development—shaping how the firm grows, what it offers, and how it serves clients with precision and purpose.

With a strong background in marketing, team leadership, and business operations, she has built D5 into a high-impact firm focused on clarity, growth, and practical results.

Her areas of specialty include:

Amira's approach is shaped by years of navigating high-pressure corporate environments and building teams from the ground up. Her keynotes and consulting focus on leadership clarity, helping leaders communicate with precision, set boundaries without guilt, and build cultures where accountability happens naturally rather than through enforcement.

Amira delivers keynote presentations and organizational consulting focused on communication, culture, and leadership effectiveness. She also co-teaches select D5 programs alongside Sam, bringing a communication and human-centered lens that complements his operational expertise.

A Multidisciplinary Team

While Sam leads the majority of D5's training engagements, the firm has grown to include a team of 11 specialized trainers—each bringing deep expertise in crisis response, behavioral health, organizational development, and specialized certifications that expand D5's capacity to serve diverse client needs across multiple sectors simultaneously.

When Sam and Amira co-teach, organizations get something most training firms can't provide: two expert instructors, two distinct lenses, one integrated experience. Sam addresses the operational and behavioral systems; Amira addresses the communication and human dynamics. Together, they create training that doesn't just inform—it transforms how teams think, communicate, and operate.
